A note from the founder
I ruined four pairs of jeans on my kitchen floor before one held.
I started Nora Ellison in my second year of art school because I was sick of denim that only looked good in the photo. Everything in shops was safe, stretchy, and made by a machine that had never met a person.
So I taught myself to sew lace into denim. Badly, at first. I ruined four pairs on my kitchen floor before the first one held. Every pair we ship is still cut and finished by hand in a tiny studio — which is exactly why there are only a handful of each colourway.
If you buy a pair, you own something almost nobody else has. That's the whole point.

Heavy vintage-weight denim, washed down until it moves like something you already own.

Every panel is traced and cut by hand, so no two pairs land exactly the same.

The lace is set into the flare and stitched in — slow, and the reason the run is small.
